Method

Blockchair's free Zcash transaction feed. Two pinned block windows: a recent span and one about 30 days earlier. A transaction counts as shielded if it has a shielded input, a shielded output, a join-split, or a non-zero shielded value delta. Coinbase is excluded. The trend is the current share minus the prior share.

This is activity, not the shielded pool's share of ZEC stock. The free chain-stats feed does not publish sapling or orchard chain value, and that stock is not invented.

Limitations

This is the share of sampled non-coinbase transactions that touch a shielded input, output, join-split, or a non-zero shielded value delta. It is activity, not the shielded pool's share of ZEC stock.
Sapling and orchard chain value are not on the free Blockchair chain-stats feed. zcha.in did not answer. Pool stock stays unmeasured rather than invented.
Coinbase (issuance) is excluded from both sides.
Each window is a bounded Blockchair page sample of a pinned block span, not every transaction in the span.
A monthly point is one Blockchair page near the start of that month. It is not every transaction in the month.
